Does anyone use this? Using the follow on milk tonight for first time.
Anyone noticed that it smells kind of like sour cabbage? tastes like it too! tastes really nasty...I'm unsure that LO will drink it! :/

Anyone recommend a nice baby formula that they think their baby loves?

:flower:

We use Hipp combiotic but no the follow on the normal first stage one. That ones quite alright. Never tried the follow on one

We used the hipp first milk and switched to the follow on milk at 6 months and you're right that it does smell a bit odd but LO didn't seem bothered at all and drinks it fine xx

my hipp follow on smells ok... milky infact... maybe ive got a dodgy sense of smell?? my baby gulps it down

I'm actually thinking of switching to this as we've been combi feeding with Cow and Gate for the past week and a half (before that we were EBF, but I keep getting recurrent mastitis and nothing seems to be improving our BF experience, even after 8 weeks of trying :nope:). I picked up the Cow and Gate just because it seemed as good as anything else and our supermarket didn't have Hipp. But everyone says Hipp causes less stomach problems, so we are thinking of making the switch. Anyone with any experience making up bottles with Hipp? I've heard you have to use cooler water than normal formula. Btw, Cow and Gate smells like rotten cabbage to me as well, I just think unfortunately that's what lots of formulas smell like. It tastes okay though.

We've used hipp, aptamil and cow and gate follow on with our kids. Ds is just on hipp. I don't find it smells that much worse than hipp first. They all smell pretty disgusting. And they all mix badly without vigorous shaking I've found. I know a few of my mates when used sma said exactly the same thing too. Ds seems to love it more than first milk. I think Dd did too.

We used Hipp first milk, not follow on, and I haven't noticed the smell.

To MindUtopia--we started with Hipp ready to drink (I was intimidated by formula beause we didn't try it until 8 months) and then we switched to the powder, and my LO rejected it! If you were here I would donate it to you :) Anyway, yes, the diretions on the box say to boil the water, then let it cool to 40 C before adding the powder, which I understand is much cooler than other formulas.

Yes we do. We use ready to pour and it stinks! Can't believe how much my lo loves it!
