HV recomended we take LO off comfort now she poos (and now poo is too runny - lol I'm never happy!!)

Looking for a milk to replace it. we didn't get on with sma or normal cow and gate and thought might go organic.

weve used sma from day1 and hes always been ok x

I *hated* Hipp Organic milk. Which is a shame, as I really wanted to like it! It clumped something awful, no matter what way we made it up. We use Dr Browns bottles (I think you do too?) and the pipettes would end up covered in what looked like cottage cheese. The bottles felt greasy and disgusting, it was really hard to get them clean.

I noticed in Tesco the other day that HiPP now seem to have 2 infant milks. There's the pink & green box, which is £6.20somethingish, and then there's one that's a green and white box and is slightly more expensive. They do a follow-on milk (or it might be hungry baby actually) that's the same box but in blue and white (if that makes sense!). From what I could see, the difference is some Omega somethings (not sure if it was 3&6), but I don't know if it might be any better to make up. They also had ready-made cartons of that stuff, for about 70p each. I thought of trying one, then decided that it wouldn't show whether the powder would be better to mix or not

Good luck if you decide to try it, but I definitely won't be going back to HiPP for milk again :(

Cant really comment as I've never used it but I've read on quite a few threads on here it doesn't mix in very well and leaves lumpy bits in the bottles.

I've noticed its cheaper than all other milks which is a bonus if she gets on with it

Edit, Me and Eala posted at the same time :haha:

I used HIPP for follow on milk from 6 months and it was clumpy and hard to clean out of bottles BUT apart from that it was fine for us.

Have you thought about Aptamil?Thats been the best 'from birth' milk for both of my babies  xx

Well bought a box and we will see - we do use the beloved dr brown bottles and I won't stop using them! I shall let you know how we get on!

Both my boys have been on hipp milk (Dom started on aptamil when I gave up breastfeeding, but I swapped to hipp about a month ago). Dom has the hungry baby milk which I get from boots and its 5.99 a box which I think is the cheapest baby milk you can get. It suits him fine, as it did Harrison x

ive got a box of it not used it yet! just there as a back up! when i try it ill post what its like! x

We used Aptimel but have just switched to Hipp follow on milk as he didnt get on with Aptimel.I have no issues with clumping up and he is finding it great and def less sicky! Its all a case of trial and error as with any new milk.x
