I popped into into my local Asda today to ask about the TENS machine. At first the guy behind the pharmacy counter told me they don't rent them but I can buy. I point out the banner I am standing next to which clearly states 'Rent or buy TENS machine here'.
His reply 'Oh, I'll just find out'.
Out pops another guy who he asks and he brings over a small box. This guy then goes on to explain that they provide a voucher which is £10 and I can use this against the hire of the Mama TENS.
Below is the conversation that followed:
'Right, so how much is the hire of the Mama TENS with the voucher included?'
To which he replies 'I think its £25'.
'So let me get this right, you are saying that I can get that voucher for £10 then pay an additional £25 to hire the machine. So in total £35?'
'Yup'
'So isn't it cheaper to hire directly without getting this so-called money off voucher as it is £29.95 to hire'.
'Uhhh...I think I got that wrong. It's £10 off the £25.'
'You clearly do not have a clue. Is there anyone else that I can assist me?'
'Not until tomorrow now.'
'Ok, I'll pop in tomorrow then'.
So my question is does anyone know how the voucher thing works at Asda? I am going to pop in after work tomorrow but I believe I will prob get more informed answers from you lovely ladies.
