Holy ACNE!!

My face is icky too. I've also used apple cider vinegar but the smell right now is too much. So for right now I'm using lemon and dabbing them on my zits to dry them out. Also taking probiotics is helpful for skin and digestive health and great for growing baby :)

UPDATE: The Mia ClariSonic Brush is working with BP facewash. It's not perfect yet, but totally BETTER. I will never stop using this brush!

I've heard about this, is it one of the expensive ones? I guess if it works it really doesn't matter :)

I've been using those 2% salicylic acid pads three times a week and my apricot scrub and my face seems to be even-ing out A LOT.

The pimples on my face are finally settling down but they are getting out of control on my back - yuck!! For the first 10 weeks I had never heard salicylic acid was bad so I was using it, now I've been on the search for natural products and I found a great shop!! They make all natural acne fighting products that are completely safe to use in pregnancy. Still waiting for my order, so no review yet, but I have heard great things about it!

30 yrs old and never had more than a random pimple here or there from eating out a couple days in a row. Even last pg I never had a prob. I'm in 2nd tri now and just popped a nasty one on my chin last night! I'm honestly not realy embarrased by it, i know they go away in a couple days, usually just alcohol works for me. It's just annoying when after i get rid of one, anoher lil blotch pops up on my cheek or something!

I keep seeing that a lot of girls on here are using salicylic acid, so I just wanted to point out the negative effects of it. Its been proven to be unsafe during pregnancy, though benzoyl peroxide has not. Here is what was found about SA:

Tests performed on patients who used salicylic acid have been found to cause birth defects and pregnancy complications such as: an increased incident of miscarriage, heart and lung problems for the newborn and bleeding complications for both mother and child. These are the same complications found in pregnant women who took aspirin during pregnancy.

Be careful what you are using on your skin ladies!!

I knew i was pregnant when i started to develop a crap load of Acne. I never had any acne issues when i went through puberty and only developed bad acne once i got off the BC Patch. So when i developed Cystic Acne on my cheeks, i just knew.
Went to my doctor and made an appointment with the Dermatologist but it's not until June 27th!! My doctor said it was fine to use benzol peroxide or salicylic acid. I asked if an aspirin mask was ok, and she said it's fine because i am not ingesting it and only less than 5% is absorbed into the bloodstream through the skin. Retin A was the big no no that my doctor said not to use. So my regimen is as follows:
Morning i cleanse with Skinceuticals Simply Clean Cleanser
Tone with my DIY Vitamin C Serum
Moisturize with Murad Anti-Aging Lotion with SPF

Evening:
Remove all Makeup with Fancl Oil Cleanser
Followed with Skinceuticals Cleanser mixed with some Epsom Salts (excellent exfolliator)
Spot treat with Queen Helen Mint Julep Mask and leave on for hours before washing off Or will alternate with Aspirin Mask every 2 days for 15 mins
Tone and use Benzamycin

For the cystic acne, every day i will apply Tea Tree oil and apply a hot compress to the area to try and bring it to a head. Made the Cyst flatten in about a week.

I am also surprised that many ladies are using topical salicylic acid on their faces. My Dr. told me this was a big no-no. In an internet article I came across I read that the washes are not as bad as the treatments that remain on the face such as the pads and spot treatment.

Believe me, I would LOVE to still use this as my face is going bonkers and I can only imagine how it will be as the days go by.

I was scheduled to do a few chemical peels on my face before I found out about :baby: so now I will have to tailor my facials to make it baby friendly.

Ive got a new one on my chin every morning! feel like a teenager again! I normally suffer with spots under my skin on my cheeks that you can never see but i can feel, but theyre all out too, plus my skins gone dry as hell so between keeping it moisturised and and the spots im looking fab! not! Ive gone really pale too so i keep having to fake tan it which is makin the spots worse too but im gonna have to deal with it for now !
