We had our 37 week Midwife appointment today and they dropped off our Homebirth kit :yipee:

It is now all sat in our lounge waiting to be taken upstairs to Missys room where it will live until the day she decides to come and meet us :cloud9:

It all feels so real and exciting now and I can not wait to have our little girlie in our little home....I feel really emotional about it all now!

How exciting for you! I never had a kit delivered as they bought it with them on the day. Have you had a nosey at what's in there? x

Hi

with mine which came in a big white box I was told strictly not to open it as they needed to guarantee all the items were sterile and they couldn't be guaranteed to continue to be so if it was opened. I tried peeking inside the box but everything was inside a plastic bag secured with a cable tie; doh! But anyway be cautious about peeking inside unless they have specifically said its ok.

Im having my MW visit at 37 weeks too, wonder if they'll bring anything here then. What happens at this visit? I have loads of crap stored in boxes in my bedroom coz i got nowhere else to put it, will she be bothered? Its all tidy, just there  x

Hi

unless your house looks like a bomb has hit it and the midwives could injure themselves tripping up over the mess, there is animal poo/hair everywhere or would be really impossible for emergency services to access, please don't worry. I was worried when the mw came last time but she said my lounge was lovely and she was so relieved as they come across some real 'house of horrors' where they aren't quite sure what to say...
