Home birth or hospital birth, how much is the cost?

My first one was born in hospital outside UK

And for the second, now I am thinking of possibilities about giving birth at home.

How much does a home birth cost?

I also would be giving birth in UK for the first time

So, in case of hospital birth, what are the costs? I am registered at NHS.

I am considering homebirth because we recently moved and have no friends and all family abroad so don't know how will I manage a toddler and labor, it's just me and my hubby, so in general, I find idea of homebirth welcoming

Are you entitled to full NHS treatment as part of your visa or residency status?

If yes then home or hospital birth should be free along with all anti natal and post natal care.

As said if you are intitled to full NHS treatment you don't pay for either. The NHS are required to support home births if that's what the mother wants. If you have to pay for private care outside the NHS home births tend to cost less than hospital births.
