I think everyone else has already pretty much said it...I do like the name Honey...but it's great only for a baby (or a pet)...
Long term the name Honey will not be taken seriously and she'll probably fall into the roll that most are already associating with the name. not that I'm saying she's destined to be a stripper but there are MANY studies that show how name associations can, in a sense, determine the way your personality and life will be. Plus there are also studies that show that based on first impressions, based on her name alone, she'd most likely NOT be taken seriously... Example: When she's an adult, she's applying for a job, her resume and experience are equal to that of another potential employee...the employer is most likely to chose the canidate with the more "normal" name. I'm going to try to google the study, it was very interesting. It's sad that as a society we can be so judgemental but that's how it is I suppose. The name Honey (especially Honey Love) would remind me of a girl that is young, immature, flighty and would be better as a cocktail waitress or Hooter's Girl. I couldn't even imagine someone with that name being a model/actress as it almost has a sexual feel to it.
What about Christie Louise Honey Love? Give her two middle names and if someday she decides that she absolutely loves the name Honey, she can use it. If not, she can use the more socially accepted "Christie" or "Louise"
I strongly suggest not giving her the first name Honey. She will be made fun of and teased relentlessly. Especially if she ends up being pretty or developing early...girls in school can be vicious!
But if you just adore the name, go for it...but think about her and how people will treat her LONG TERM. It's a precious name for a 5 year old but not a 25 year old (unless she's a stripper or waitress)
