Was wondering if anybody here could give me some advice on how to go about getting a home birth.

I really want a home birth, although i've been told i can't have one, solely because my placenta's lying lower then it should be.
I know a hospital would be most peoples 1st choice but i really hate them, n u sometimes don't get what u want or u can sometimes be completely ignored.
I want the whole birth to be a personal/private experiance with only a couple of people present eg. Oh, My mum n Godparents.

How far along are you?
If the placenta is low early on it often moves higher up as the pregnancy progresses, so you may find it'll be fine.
If it doesn't move out of the way then hospital really is the best option, as it's a riskier birth. You can still have a provate experience at hospital - no reason it needs to be anyone other than you, your birth partner and the midwife, unless things don't go to plan and then there'll be doctors present too. You can request not to have any students etc.

There is a home birthers group in the B&B Group section, you may be able to get some good advice.
