I had a drs appt earlier this week. After our appt me and the hubs went to eat lunch. Getting to eat a kid free meal is such a treat now that the kiddos are out of school for the summer. My hubs parents kept the boys while we went to the dr. So we went to the olive garden...as we were leaving a woman in her 50s noticed my belly. She smiled and said 'Oh when are you due honey?!' before I could even answer her she blurted out 'ANY DAY NOW I BET!' I just mumbled 'no...not til september.' She gasped 'OH MY GOD! Your SO BIG already!! It HAS to be TWINS then!!' I just muttered 'no it's just one...' she began telling me how she had twin girls...I just walked away mumbling to my hubs how old this is going to get over the next few months.

Seems to be a favourite comment of the general publics to pregnant women :dohh:

Hope you didn't let it spoil your kid free meal-I know how they are a rare treat also.

Someone sent me this picture (diagram?) when I was pregnant with DD. It reminds me of what you said, because it seems to be commonplace for people to make remarks about the size of a pregnant woman's belly. The same rules apply, people!!

LOL ajlj1126 I used that picture to announce to my work I was pregnant! I said something like, I wanted to make sure you all knew sooner than later so that it didn't become awkward for those of you that adhere to the following guideline - and I put in that pic right after. Haha. It was pretty funny. And it's true! If you're a stranger, you really shouldn't ask if someone is pregnant, but if you do, you REALLY shouldn't make comments about how big they are! It's like common sense!

I just rolled my eyes so hard. Do people not realize how rude it is to make comments like that or do they just not care? Lol

I hate it when people (including family for me. Idk how others feel) think it's okay to rub all over my stomach without asking. :|

A salesman at my old job was working with a young couple that had a little girl toddler and a stroller. She was mentioning having her son and he gushed, "ooooooh when are you due!?! You look about ready to pop!" she looked down at the stroller and said, "well, we had him two days ago..." :dohh:

I'm 24 weeks and work in retail and literally every second customer keeps saying that I must b due soon and I'm September aswell their pissing me off

Ugh. What is it with complete random people thinking it's okay to to comment on how big they think you are? A 'You look fantastic' wouldn't hurt.

Gosh that sounds horrible :-/ I've had comments from colleagues but never strangers...my friend did have a stranger come up and rub her bump once...
