Hospital bans free formula. What do you think?

My hospital didn't provide any of the stuff I needed for LO (nappies, wipes, clothes etc) so I couldn't understand why they were providing formula. I agree that it is worth them having some for exceptional cases just like I'm sure they have nappies wipes clothes etc if someone doesn't have any. They are hardly going to let a baby starve but if you plan to FF you should bring your own formula in my opinion

My hospital provided everything, thinking back on it, and wanted to give Eamon formula when he was having trouble latching. I said no and went on to BF for 11 months. Here they tend to offer FF at the first sign of any problems, which I feel is wrong. I was a first time mum and could have caved in because I knew nothing about feeding babies, but followed my instincts.

In a nutshell I think you should bring it if you plan to FF, but they should have a small stock for emergencies where BF just isn't possible
