DH and I had a spa day to celebrate our anniversary. We BD-ed the night before and the morning before we went to the spa. After our couples massage, we spent about 15-20 minutes in a whirlpool. It wasn't exceptionally hot--felt like a hot bath more so than the type of hot tub you have to really ease yourself into. But, I don't know what the temperature was. I found out after the fact that hot tubs are a huge no no when TTC, particularly for men, and I potentially ovulated the same day or day after spa day. So I'm worried we really messed things up. Does anyone knows if the hot tub would hurt our chances this cycle if we did time it right and had got the BD in before the hot tub? Meaning, would the sperm be less susceptible to the temperature changes once in my body vs in the scrotum, which is more exposed? I can't find any info about hot tubs and women so close to ovulation. All I've seen is about how men should avoid them, as well as pregnant women.
