Hot Water Bottles???

Are hot water bottles safe to use? I have gone really cold at the moment and would like to curl up with one but are they safe to do this with? I will use the cover!!

I think it is advised that you don't use them as it can raise your core temperature which can be dangerous. However i have been suffereing with gallstones and use one regularly to help with the pain. I am also cold all the time, it's very strange. In my last pregnancy i was freezing almost all the way through - especially my bump!- and i quite often used an electric blanket or hot water bottle. Not saying it is right to do so, just that i have done xxx

Im am sure it isnt the best idea to have it near your abdomen for the same reasons as the no hot tub rule... I just put mine down by my feet since they are freezing.
