I started experiencing back pain in first tri, and it was pretty rough for a couple weeks but I got a pregnancy pillow and a back support for my chair at work and have been doing much better since, EXCEPT if I try to do even light house cleaning. I've noticed that on days I do any light picking up (organizing, dusting, etc), for as little as 30 minutes, my lower back is killing me at the end of the day!! Tylenol helps a little bit, but I still feel really stiff. Usually the next morning I'm completely fine again, and on days that I stick to my normal routine (sitting on my butt all day), my back doesn't hurt at all.

I was pretty out of shape before pregnancy and have yet to start doing any exercise or stretching even though I know I should... ...so that's probably part of it. But it still seems weird that even a half an hour tidying up could cause this much pain!!

i don't think it has to do with being out of shape. before getting pregnant i ran a marathon, ran for relaxation and occasionally went to the gym. not a workout fiend but i wasn't always sitting around.

but ... i get achy while doing housework. happened today too. even just wet mopping the floor. i realized i had to change my posture and shift my weight while doing it to alleviate the pain. i was able to get through a few hours of housework.

my only pain now is in my feet so i have those up as we speak.

if i do even 5 min of vacumming im in agony. i feel like sorry ladies this is gonna sound rude but i feel like a ginormous fat person who takes two steps and has to sit down coz out of breathe and in pain!

yea my back kills too, even when sitting down i feel an ache in my lower crook of the back - i have a VERY curved back too its deep,my OH can push his entire balled up fist in the curve when im lying down! :haha: therefore ive always had abit of a scewiff back - but now it feels worse it doesnt have me in tears but its just uncomfortable im waiting till payday so i can get a maternity pillow from Argos see if that helps the back better :)

MaybBaby - Ebay have some rather cheep maternity pillows. They've got a company selling a 5 foot pillow for £5 plus postage and a 7 foot for £10 i think + post. It can double as a nursing pillow too. Just thought id mention it as im waiting for payday to get one too :haha:

My lower back is killing me too, which is not surprising as i do have SPD/PGP :( Bugger, this pregnancy malarkey is NOT a doddle, eh? :haha:
