Housing benefit?

Has anyone had any problems getting a privately rented place that will except payment via housing benefit?

yes me, luckily ive managed to stay where i was when i was with my ex but i had to beg my landlady & promise ide make payments on time!!
im trying to move now but its not happening.

the reason they dont like taking HB as payments is because they think you will spend the money given on things like food/clothes etc & forget to cover the rent.

my advice would be to talk to your council & see if they know any private landlords who accept HB. xx

Alot of landlords don't accept HB, as above person said. However, if you check your local newspaper or search online for your area, that may help x
