How accurate is temping?

As the title, I just wanted to know if temping is accurate and if anyone has done it then got their ?? This is my 2nd cycle temping and i'm just curious to know. Thanks ladies xxx

I *tried* to temp, but my temps seemed to go up and down - until the day I got my when it just SPIKED. I thought I had a fever

I firmly believe in OPKs and preseed. Two 's for two cycles.
