How accurate is the nub theory at 13 weeks?

Does anyone know of any research about the theory, regarding accuracy?

It was reliable for me, defo looked like a boy at 13 wks and he is! I read somewhere at 13wks it is the most accurate time to check the nub, especially if its looking like a boy. Do you have a scan pic with the nub showing?

I do...but I'm so not sure if it's really the nub, because going by the Ramzi theory, it's a girl! Last night, my DH measured the degree of the nub and it is less than 30 degrees...because according to what I have read, you go by the spine. Baby has to be straight, and mine was curled. So, I think it's a girl based on the nub theory but no one else thinks so (except hubby)

Don't know. Would be over the moon with either though. Thank you SO much for responding.. This is driving me nuts, lol. I want to know. I find out tomorrow morning (private scan).

If you can look and figure it out, that'd be great

Both my babies we predicted correctly from scans at 12/13wks - and when I put it up for guesses, at least 80% were correct.

I say that definitely looks like a boy!!

I think its reasonably accurate as long as the person 'guessing' actually knows what they're going on about I was guessed boy at 12+5 and I am having a boy. Good luck and keep us updated when you find out! xx

Yes i'd have to say boy from that nub, have also noticed girl nubs seem to be a little longer.
Look forward to hearing your update tomorrow, i drove myself mad as well - constantly checking the nub from different angles!

OP, I think it looks like a girl using both the nub theory and the shape of the skull...

When it is clear I think it is pretty accurate. I think your having a boy.
