How do early contractions feel?

So, I am starting to have some contractions, but nothing regular. They are presenting as all over tightening, with more concentrated pain on the top in the middle.

Is that how it usually starts? I had two c-sections with my previous pregnancies and only had braxton hicks.

I am currently on bedrest for high blood pressure. I am thinking that tonight, DH and I might DTD to get things moving along. Worth a shot?
