As the title says lol.

My LO has had a slight tummy bug the past couple of days and on Sunday he threw up all over the lounge carpet. I've washed it twice with Vanish odour neutralising stain removing carpet cleaner (it'd have you believe that it makes cups of tea as well!) but it still really smells and it's driving me up the wall.

Anyone got any suggestions for products that have helped?

Soda crystals or washing powder and one of the only things that cut through vomit. If its coloured, use cold water to reduce the risk of staining, and sprinkle some washing powder/soda crystals on. Leave for a while and hoover up.

(or i just mix it with the cold water)

I agree with pp. My dog did a poo on our bedroom carpet last week and was sick on it yesterday now you can't tell. Bicarbonate is the way to go!

Yep, baking soda always works for us.

Thanks ladies! I have bicarbonate of soda so I'll give that one a go.

I know exactly how you feel. My oh doesn't have a good sense of smell but i do. I used bicarbonate soda when my LO went through a sicky period. Sprinkle it on neat the night before then hoover it up the next day. The smell was gone within three days. Good luck. Xxx
