Hello there ladies....
Just a quick one.... How do i know if i have enough for my little girl????

She seems to be continously feeding!!! Tonight she fed for about 2 hours for 10-15mins every 20mins!!!! My boobs are soooooo empty and she seemed to still be hungry. As i am trying to burb her she is sucking away on my fingers!!! I am terrified that she is not getting enough out of me..
This has only happened this one time but it was horrible and i feel so bad :(

In the mornings my boobs are rock hard and MASSIVE... so i know i have milk there but as the day goes on i am worried that i am not making enough milk to fill her tum tum :(

What should i do??? Can i run out of milk or????
Ohhhhh she is only 8 weeks old so i am not sure how long this milk supply should last..... :(

I am a first time mum and i have no idea how this whole thing works...... I cant turn to my mum cause she had problems with breast feeding with both me and my brother... Her milk dried up not long after we were born... so she cant really help.....

Thanks in advance

Hunger, crying, and emptiness, all cue your body to produce more milk. Younger babies are always hungry. Breast milk is easily digested and they have really small tummies. Is she having lots of wet nappies? Have you gotten her weighed? x

Do you think she is comfort sucking or definetely hungry ?

You cant run out darling so try to trust your body - it's kept your baby alive from the second she was conceived so it's not going to give up on you now!
She's still very young and so frequent feeds are fine. In fact in the evening if she's starting to feed like that I'd say it's probably cluster feeding so you might find she will start sleeping longer after an evening of stocking up.
Try not to doubt yourself honey - if you believe in yourself, you've won half the battle already. :)

as long as she is producing wet and dirty nappies and putting on weight she is getting enough - what goes in has to come out. Lucas goes through growth spurts where he never seems satisfied, these are totally normal and if he gets hungry inbetween feeds i'll give him half of his next feed, then the other half of his feed when he's due rather than getting stressed out about him strictly sticking to every 3hours etc.

Try not to get stressed out, and remember that your body will produce as much milk as your baby demands.

Thank you so much ladies..... She is still weeing heaps and is pooing a few times a day... Thank god lol... She is definately putting on the weight cause she is getting chubbier every time i look at her i think lol...

I was just so worried that i was starving her :(
Thanks for understanding girls.... i just didnt know where to go to.... :(

Feel that way is totally natural. There were so many times I doubted myself as well and worried, but just trust your body and your instincts and you will do just fine!
