Hey there, my little lady is 3.5 months old she sleeps through the night. She goes down at some point between 9 - 10 sometimes later but never earlier and wakes up between 8 - 9 in the morn which is really great and I feel very lucky.. but I start trying go get her down from 7 and she'll have none if it.. anyone have any ideas on how I can get her down earlier ? thank you

Try gradual increments if you really want to.

I know 7-7 is ideal and recommended but SOME babies sleep fine on a different schedule.

loss of alone grown up time but a lovely lie in in the morning.

H brought her bedtime forward from 1am to 7pm on her own at around 3 months. I think it's pretty common :flower:

They usually tend to do it themselves in time, but it's best if you do it slowly and move it forward 10-15 mins every week or so. A 2 hr difference all at once is generally just too much for them. I know if I tried going to bed 2 hours earlier than normal i would be all out of sorts!

yeah, try bringing bedtime forward 10mins at a time. It may take a while but its more likely to stick like that. Good luck xxx

i did twenty minutes per week or so, she's been sleeping 7-7 from 4 months +

My LO did it naturally. He used to go to sleep at 9pm and whenever we tried to bring it forward, if we tried to put him to sleep at 8, then we'd do bath, pjs and feed and then he would just sit there and look at me til 9pm anyways then fall asleep. Then one night he was really grumpy around 7:00 so i said to DH, why dont we just TRY starting bedtime routine now, and we did, and he went to sleep and has had his bath at 7 and is asleep by 7:30 or 8 ever since. Then DH and I have dinner together, watch movies and have a bit of alone time. Its fab.

Im just trying to do this at the moment. I will have to wait until LO is better as he has an ear infection at the moment. Ideally I would like him to go to bed the same time as his brother which is usually around 7.30. At the moment he goes between 9-10pm and has been sleeping through till 6/7am. He is BF so what im thinking I might do is try putting him to bed same time as Toby and then maybe dream feeding him when I go to bed around ten and see what happens xx
