Hey ladies!!

I´m just wondering how you claculate how many DPOs have passed, any insight??

I was expecting O on CD 16, but got a positive OPK on CD 12 and 13, by CD 14 it was negative again.... thing is, I don´t really know how to know if I already Od.... I want to be able to count DPOs and hopefully be on my TWW... but not really knowing when O actually hapened chances are I missed it... I don´t temp and dont chart CM.... Please tell me, am I really as lost as I think??? lol Thanks girls!:flower:

You count dpo starting with the day after o, so since you probably o on cd13, cd 14 would be considered 1dpo

Agree with the others, CD14 would be classed as 1dpo

Thanks girls!!! So I guess the waiting time has begun!!! Hope old AF doesn't come and get me this time!

Hugs!!

I might as well ask whilst I'm in this thread... do you count the CD from the first day of your last period???? So confused by some of the phrases! :S

Temping is really the only way to be certain on when you've ovulated. If you start temping and enter your info into FF you can count how many DPO you are (it will give you your ovulation date). Good luck! :)

Thanks a lot ladies!! You really helped me out on this one.... so by now I´m on DPO 8 and waiting to test in a little less than two weeks (drums please!!! lol)

Limm, glad you got your answer two!!! This things can be way to complicated!!

Best wishes to you all!!

Blimey, that makes me CD118.

You might want to go see a RE to discuss this. He/she can likely give you something to start our AF sooner. They recommend if you have gone 60 days no AF to discuss with your doc.

So happy I just read this, I have been counting from the day i spot before the bright red arrived!no wonder why I ovulated a day later then I thought I would!

I go off of the mirena implant next Tuesday (04/23) and am expecting to bleed based on what everyone has said. Can I start counting my cycles from right when I begin bleeding?

I plan on also using the basal thermometer, CM, and ovulation test strips. Would it be useless to employ these methods the first month because my body will be regulating itself?

No, but I think your best option is to temp because you'll have a better idea of how your body is working. An ovulation test strip is best used to confirm what your tempertures are telling you - a positive on an ovulation test does not mean you've ovulated, but when confirmed with a temperature shift you can be sure you did.

Awesome.... but... since I don't know what my temps are usually, how will I know when they're higher or lower and I'm ovulating?

Hi! You can keep track of your O with OPKs, they´re suppose to be like 99.9% accurate, and better than temping since your temps rises after O and OPK will be positive around 24-36 hours before you O so if you´re TTC it gives you much better chances and besides you can plan BD with OH in advance!.... You can also combine OPKs with checking your CM....

Good luck!

awesome! Thanks. I'm planning on using OPK's, BBT, and CM so I can figure out my bodies schedule I just wasn't sure for the first month-- after that, hopefully I'll regulate.

ORRRRRRRRR hopefully I'll already have a BFP!

Another question.... is it better to test in the morning, evening or afternoon.... On an empty stomach or right after eating? Or... does all that stuff not make a difference?
