How do you get your eyeliner not to smudge.... *updated with pic now!

Since I swapped to benefit BADgal waterproof eyeliner I haven't had a problem!

Here's a tip for you without buying expensive liners. Put a thin line of black eyeshadow under the liner. Stops it slipping as it keeps moisture from the liner therefore it doesn't smudge. And it works. I swear by it. Works with even the cheap pencil liners xx

Do you mean run the liner on some black eyeshadow before applying? I'll give it's go. Thank you xx

No if you just put a thin line of black eye shadow on your lid where you'll apply the liner and then apply the liner. It works a treat xx

Does it work on the inner rim though? As mine get quite watery? Xx

No don't put eyeshadow on your inner rim, you'll get powder all in your eyeball, horrid feeling! You can put a small amount of powder on the outer rim of the bottom of your eye, any colour you want really. Even a nude one would work. It's just keeps the area dry and helps the black liner in the inside rim to stay put and not leak under the eye xx just depends on your eyes, some people's eyes water more than others hence why their liner on the inner rim never stays put. But that powder trick should def help. And others have said to use gel liner. Gel liner is great but never on the inner rim, its water and smudge proof and not designed to be put into the eye as your eye is naturally wet. You should only use gel on the outside of the eye xx

It looks like there is quite a bit of black shadow underneath the eyes on the pic, so would work in same way maybe?

Doesn't budge at all, no sharping pencils and lasts waaaaay longer than a pencil.

Ladies, we have success!! i tried the black eyeshadow like some of you suggested and there was minimal smudging, a little but no way as much as there would have been, thank you!! xx

Thank you! I could have gone darker/heavier but I was a bit scared if I'm honest! Definitely worked though the eyeshadow xxx

You just need to layer and blend, takes a bit of practice but you'll get it. Put on a bit of the eyeshadow along the top and bottom lash lines then blend it, add more colour again then blend again and I usually do it one more time. Make sure the blend doesn't come too far out or you'll look like you have a black eye! Also when working with black, put your foundation over your eyes but nowhere else. Do all your eye makeup first, then do the rest of your face otherwise black eyeshadow will fall onto your cheeks and will ruin the rest of your makeup! Xx

Good tips hun yeah even a tiny speck of that black eyeshadw is a bugger when it falls on your skin! lol xx
