So I don't wear make up much, because I don't know what to get or how to use it :dohh:. I am really pale with reddish hair, I wear mascara because otherwise I look like I have no eyelashes. I wear foundation sometimes to look less pale and sometimes blusher (but I usually look like a hooker when I wear it (can't get the colour right) and pale gold eyeshadow. Sometimes I wear eye liner and occasionally lipstick (but again I can't find the right shade). I mainly want to sort out eye make up and lipstick but how do you ladies find out what suits you?! Also eyebrows- my eyebrows are pale and too thin, but I don't know what to do to make them look better, like do I shade them or something? Help please :dohh:

Mac is really good, if you spend £25 on a makeover there (the one in debenhams in my case anyway) they give you that amount back in the products afterwards. If you've liked something then you can buy it.
I find going to boots and choosing your own such a chore, I waste so much money buying things that clearly are not the right colour when I get them home!

Have you had a look at nicola roberts range https://www.daintydoll.com/ its made especially for paler skin tones. I use mac studio fix but have a couple of cheapys for everyday use too. The mac one I use is studio fix think its probably one of their best sellers and they have such a broad colour range you would definitely be able to find a good match. I also found when I got a colour match at mac I found it easier to find colours in cheaper foundations too.

If you go to The Body Shop you can get a free make-over and they will help you to chose the right colours for your skin tone/combination.

You aren't obliged to buy any of their products however, I usually do though. Every time I change my hair colour I change my look and get different eye/lip make-up to match my hair but always use the same foundation, concealer, mascara and eyeliner.

The products are fantastic.

I'm a pale redhead too. Always go for a foundation that matches your skin! Don't try to go darker to look less pale (been there and looked horrific lol). The best thing I did was get colour matched at the clinique station in my local boots. I've found the revlon colorstay in their lightest shade is really nice for pale skin, as are the lightest shades in all the clinique foundations.

If you want to look less washed out try a very light bronzer in your cheek hollows, the corners of your face, and a small amount blended in the crease of your eyelid. Add some blush to the cheeks - colour and contouring really helps a pale face, just make sure the colours are not too harsh and match your skin tone. A nice highlighter on your brow bones and the top of your cheek bones will finish your look.

Here is what I use:

Foundation - Revlon ColorStay in Ivory or Clinique Redness Solutions in Alabaster
Eyebrows - Elf Studio Eyebrow Kit in Light
Blush - Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Fresh Pink
Mascara - Elf Mineral Infused Mascara
Bronzer - Elf Studio Bronzer in Cool (I also brush a little on my eyelids)
Highlight - Loreal Lumi Magique Highlighter Pen
Lips- Revlon Lip butter in various shades

These are the products i've been using at the moment and they work really well for pale skin :)
