As I am sitting here, waiting for my latest wave of nausea to pass, I thought it might be interesting to hear from other women experiencing morning sickness. How does it affect you?

Fill out the poll and share your comments. :flower:

(“Sick” in the polls means loosing your lunch. I just don’t want to type out the word right now in my attempt to reduce my need for same lol )

I chose: Nauseated periodically throughout the day, but haven’t been “sick”

My nausea is usually controlled if i eat something quick (mainly something high sugar) x

Interesting poll! x

I feel the only way i haven't been sick possibly is because of my vomiting fear. It takes a LOT to make me vomit.

I also have managed it with nibbling on food, but there have been occasions where i have felt so damn sick and nothing i eat helps.

I have a wicked fear of vomiting too. I was at a wedding last night and the nausea hit me a few times, I was so afraid of getting sick. It's okay if I'm at home, but I am petrified of it happening in public! Hopefully it doesn't get any worse than where it's at. I'm happy with just being nauseas lol.

Oh and I chose:

Nauseas periodically throughout the day but haven't been "sick"

I chose "Nauseated AND “Sick” at random times of day" without medicine its 3-4 times a day and can't keep anything down.

During my first pregnancy I had pretty "typical" morning sickness - I got up early and was seriously nauseous, sometimes to the point of throwing up.

With this pregnancy the morning sickness has been much more variable. Last week I had a couple days of the worst nausea and vomiting ever from the morning to the afternoon. Then I was fine for a while, and now since Thursday I've been getting mild nausea but no vomiting and only in the evenings. So far "morning sickness" has always been accompanied by gastrointestinal unhappiness too :(

Well I picked Nauseated all (or most) of the time, but haven’t been “sick”
I have however had "mini sicks" *nice* it takes SO much for me to properly be sick though, I go for years on end without actually throwing up.

I am actually really struggling with MS at the moment, the smell of food is making me cry!! but I know if I don't eat it will get worse. I seem to have to constantly munch or it gets worse and worse :( drinking more doesn't help either. I don't know how I am going to go to work tomorrow, thinking I will have to call in sick - but I'm too busy right now to do that :( x

I picked Nauseated AND “Sick” most of the time. Without meds I was being sick at least 10 times a day throughout the day and night, on meds I am usually only sick first thing in the morning and sometimes in the evening. I haven't been sick for 2 days so I am optimistic.....for the short term at least! Lol

I picked nauseated AND sick at random times of the day. To go further mine is actually worse at night more often than not.

Today is a good day though.

I chose the last option, but i really dont feel ill until noontime, and then progressively worse through the evening.

This is my second pregnancy and I have yet to have morning sickness. The first time, I was nauseated all of about two days. This time, I haven't even been nauseated. During my first pregnancy I went through a period of about a month where I didn't eat hardly anything. My family had to practically force feed me. This time I have had a day here or there where I have no appetite, but nothing like last time. Yet anyway. :)

LOL is there a vote for 'mild evening sickness with diarrhea'? My body is acting weird. I am getting no nausea in the morning only in the evenings and then if I eat a big meal, I need the loo sharpish. My job involves driving around a lot and to be honest, I think I would prefer nausea with vomiting, at least that way I could pull over and open the car door! The other option needs a toilet aaggh! roll on 2nd Trimester please.

It is nice to hear from others who are experiencing the same struggle, though in a variety of forms and intensities. Thanks for sharing, ladies! Looking forward to all of us feeling better. :hugs:

My first month was great, didn't have any sickness just a big appetite! The second month I had really really bad nausea but no vomiting, now I'm into my third month I'm vomiting 2, 3, 4 times a day!

before I was pregnant I had the worst sense of smell, couldn't smell a thing! but now it is super sensitive and it's smells that set me off more specifically meat & chicken.

I havent really experianced m/s as such, but have felt sick at night x

Thats what I choose, I've only been sick once and it wasn't even that much. I didn't even know I was pregnant at the time. Since then though I've been nauseous a lot throughout the day with no actual vomiting.

Lol I actually get this too, like you said only after a big meal. It's horrible, especially when you're not home.

This is my 3rd. So far this pregnancy no morning sickness at all yet. With DS had it occasionally. With DD I had it all day everyday.
