How early did you experance "lightning crotch"?

Lol it's such a horrid feeling, trying to explain to my husband why I'm yelping in pain holding my parts is also quite funny.

I'm 34 weeks and the last few days have been my first batch of Braxton hicks too, last night I was startled by this horrible lightning feeling And Agian this morning. Every article I read varies, some say its a sign of impending labour while others say its just normal and will happen until 40 weeks.

Just wondering everyone's experience lol

Mine started around 32 weeks so I don't think it's a sign of labour for me lol. It's got worse this week and on bending I notice it a lot more too, before it was just on walking! It's definitely not a nice feeling!! Xx

I'm 34 weeks tomorrow and I have been getting them for about 2 weeks. I am also dealing with possible "Preterm labour" though, I have been contracting 3-5 mins apart since 32 weeks and have already begun to show signs of having the baby soon, they doctor just gave me 2 steroid shots to help the baby's lungs along "Just in case" So you never know! The doctor told me I could have him any time between now and my due date.

mine started around 31 weeks...generally it used to happen when I was on my feet all day. Now it's more frequent and more severe. I guess it's just gravity.

Iv had since begining of last week at 29 weeks!! Just thought was normal. My oh thinks its histerical lol xx

Mine started around 33-34 weeks and continued pretty much until I went into labor at 40+2. I think it MAY have started getting better as I neared my due date but I can't totally remember.

I do, however, remember how jarring and uncomfortable it was, and not really getting any sympathy from my husband haha.

It really is a horrible thing eh lol

I was trying to explain how it felt and his response was just, "oh I'm sure things will hurt even more soon"

Secretly I was hopefull I am moving in the right direction as I've had a lot of complictions, but clearly I know babies are best to bake for 40 weeks

i have got this from 17 weeks pregnant i think, it is the worst pain ever!I had it for a whole 5 minutes once and nothing i did would make it go away x

I'm curious--Have any of you had internal checks or ultrasounds where they told you baby's head was really far down, or engaged, or zero station or anything like that?

My baby was at zero station or even lower pretty early on, and I always wondered if that's why I got lightning crotch.

28 weeks ish... She was breech though so I think she liked to kick my cervix lol

mine was about 27-28 weeks that it started and boy it hurt. I am more used to it now but I still will grab myself sometimes and DH laughs

I get it once I hit 3rd tri. It's soooo freaking painful especially when I'm cleaning the house and I gotta stop from the pain. It's crazy painful. Sometimes I get it so bad when I gotta pee so I run to the bathroom and yet it feels like the baby is about to fall out.

Yes I had internal cervix exams at 26 weeks on as my cervix is so short already. But have not had one since 29 weeks and still get the pain

Ugh, this started super early for me. Around 19 weeks or so. It hurts so much and has gotten worse. Stops me in my tracks.

Mines been really bad today, to the point where it actually makes me stop in my tracks, on bending forward particularly today it's caught me a few times. Wonder why it's got so much worse today? Xx

Been having this since about 32 weeks-ish! Have now realised its mainly when baby's on a nerve affecting the bladder, but it really feels like the waters could burst when this quick-ish sharp pain happens!

I rang my mw and she said it sounds like baby has come right down and his head is right on my cervix explaining why the pain is so bad at times and particularly as its my 4th she said it will be more intense. I guess I've got a lot more to come off it in the next four weeks! Xxx
