So I was wondering how long after you had your bloody show it was until you went in to labour/had your baby?

Online I know it says usually within three days but could be sooner or longer but in after personal experiences.

With my daughter I didn't have my show/lose plug until I was in labour. This time I've been losing plug for weeks but had my show today, mainly dark brown with bits of red In mucus, there isn't loads but it's there so I think im just losing little bits at a time.

I feel kind of crampy and back achey and increase in braxton hicks but now where near like early labour yet.

Thanks x

I didn't have a bloody show with dd. I went in for an induction and was losing bits of my plug the week before...lost more plug during the pessary portion of the induction.

with my son I had my bloody show around 4 am or so. was due for my induction during the day. was at 3-4cm at noon and they still put in the pessary...was in active labor by 2pm. had lo at 7.30 or so.

I only had it once I was in labour with dd. Never went into labour with ds - had to have a c section due to breech.

With my son I didn't have a show until I was In labour.
With my daughter I had been losing plug from 36wks, had a sweep at 38+2 & the day after The sweep I had a show, (lasted 3days)
I had another sweep at 39wks lunch time, did not have anything after....woke at 4am at 39+1 with mild contractions, arrived at the hosp 7:15am and my daughter was born at 8:22am! So In my case it was 5 days but I think I maybe have the second sweep to thank for that :haha:
Good luck hope ur LO arrives soon!X

I've had a show with 3 of mine each time was holding my baby within 48 hours 😊

I didn't notice any blood until my doctor checked my cervix and indicated I was bleeding a bit (40+6). My water broke the following morning.

With Dd2 i had been losing plug for weeks but I had a slight show around 10pm and woke at 5am with minor contractions. I had her at 2.30pm that day. Good luck xx

With both I had a bloody show after a sweep. With dd I was in labour three hours after that. With ds it was 7 days after. & he was overdue!

Good luck - hope it's not much longer for you now :)

I had my show in early labour had her 24 hours later. My waters broke not long after.

Good luck

I woke up and went to the bathroom and lost my plug. Contractions started almost immediately, and I was holding her 12 hours later.

I had my bloody show over a week before having my son and even then they had to break my waters because I was 42 weeks. I had been having false starts on and off for 2 weeks though, it's as if my body just couldn't go into labour without help so hopefully it won't be as long for you Hun,good luck!

Lost chunks of my plugs for at least 3 weeks but both times I'd had a show in the early stages of labour (within the first two hours of contractions). Babies were here the same day.

I lost my mucus plug and had a bloody show on the Sunday, went into labour on the Thursday and she was born on the Friday. I also remember asking this question when I lost mine because I was so excited lol

I gave birth the very next day after losing mine!

With my 1st - 36 hrs before she was born
With my 2nd, 12 hours before he was born

Keeping in mind, both times I had babies I had had a stretch and sweep that kicked off labour, but...

With my son, I went in to labour about 12 hours after I had my show (immediately after the sweep). With my daughter, I had already been having contractions from about 12am, had my show at 5am and had her at 11am :)

With my last two, I only had bloody show on the day I went into labor.

I started in early labour at 39+2 4 am in the morning beginning of bloody show at 6am (full show around 11am) baby born at 739pm same day. I had been losing bits of the plug since 37 weeks
