I miscarried at 6 weeks on August 25th. My OB said that they used to tell women to wait 3 cycles before trying again, but she said there was no real reason to wait other than for when we are ready. I've been given the clear after my first period that we can try again.

When did you start trying after a mc? DH is ready to try right away, but I feel guilt to try so soon. And fear that it will just lead to another mc.

I think with an earlier loss you can try whenever you feel ready. I had a d/c for a loss at 14 weeks. I was told to wait 2-3 cycles and I didn't feel my body was ready until after the 2 cycles, so we waited the 2.

I'm sorry for your loss. How did you know your body was ready? I'm waiting for at least one period and have continued taking my vitamins but I feel guilt for wanting to try again so soon.

Well right after I felt every thing.. I still can feel ovulation but I still felt very achey physically down there. So I felt my body needed time. Emotionally I knew I was ready to try again when the thoughts of our loss and trying again didn't bring me to tears. Everyone heals in their own way though.

I think I'll wait and see where I'm at after my first cycle then, instead of trying to predict if I'll be ready or not. I know DH is and he wants to try again now but is respecting the wait until after my first cycle - and of course longer if I need to.
