How Long after?

I have just posted this on the wrong forum .....doh!

I was just wondering if anyone that has had a HSG and a Laparscopy how long it was between the test.

I had my HSG test on Friday (hated it) because my tubes are blocked I wud imagine I will have a Laparscopy but how long will it take to have the test?

I hate all this waiting game!!

Have they told you you will have a laparoscopy? What would it be for? Your HSG will have been done in radiology so I cant imagine it would take long for the results. There is usually a wait for a laparscopy though so I'm sure it will all work out. GL hun!

I have been told that both me tubes are blocked from the radiologist so I persumed they would do a Lap on me to see what was causing the blockages, but I am just wondering what the wait is like, do u no?

I had to wait 10 months for a laparscopy but it was for ovarian cysts.... it was a nightmare. If your under a specialist for fertility I'm guessing maybe sooner??? But they will always treat emergencies first thats the trouble. Let me know what happens hun. Sorry I couldnt be more helpful.

A laparsoscopy isnt that invasive, the bit that made me unwell is that they pump air into you to lift your tummy off of your organs and its really painful. It did take 6 weeks for me to recover and I ended up back in after 3 weeks because I went back to work to early. The scars are tiny and the pain from the actual op wasnt too bad. But there is a lot of wind breaking both ends because of your body trying to get rid of the air. You'll be fine hun honestly. xx

Your stomach should have easily gone down by then but I wouldnt be going back to work then if I were you. I went back after a week and a half, I was meant to have 3 weeks off and ended up having 5. So if I were you I would try and take another week just to be sure if you can, or even just a couple more days over the week. My friend went in for fibroids and took a week and ended up needing 2. Think of your health hun. xx

Well I'm def not averse to more time off work!!! Will blag as much time as I can off then! Hubby's got the first week off too, so I've told him I'm installing a bell so he can wait on me constantly! I will def be dragging that one out as long as possible!!
