I have a cold water steriliser and I just wondered if anyone knew how long bottles stay sterile after they have been taken out of the steriliser? Usually, I take the bottle out and make the feed straight away but LO is being looked after for the day and I am wondering if I can just give them the sterilised bottles or if they will need the steriliser as well. Hope that makes sense!

the bottle is no longer sterile once it leaves the steriliser , but you can do the bottles up straight after taking them out and use them with in 24 hours, the main thing is that the nasty bacteria from the milk has been killed , and the bits of the bottle dont sit around gathering dirt / dust for half a day
as long as you put the bottles together as soon as you take them out of the steriliser nothing will be able to get into them so they will be fine
