How long do you FF for? x

I would imagine for the first year and then introduce cows milk.

Yep, formula for the first year then onto cows milk or whatever other type of milk you want to use X

Do you have to? Like could I carry on ff till I stop giving her bottles? She has plenty of cows milk in ceral and has yogurts daily?

you can do, lots of brands do growing up milk which contain lots of iron for babas, personally for me though, i was well over the whole counting scoops and boiling the kettle x

Yeah hun until 12 months then it's cows milk. I did start to give aidan the follow on milk but thougt it had no real extra nutrional value over cows milk so I put him on cow milk. Cheaper as well
xx

I'm just a little worried cos stilling living at home if my family run out of milk I know there use avas.. Could I ff till she's 2? Or is it not recommend?

I know they make formula for babies from 12 months through the toddler years, I'm not sure how it compares to cows milk, however because Mika will be on goat's milk at a year so I haven't looked into it.

Not really recommended. She should be getting most of her nutrients from meals after a year and formula just has wayyyyy too much stuff in it. Milk really is the way to go. She will cut down significantly though and start drinking water. My daughter is 20 months now and just drinks 2 cups of milk a day.

Hey, meant to say you can give cows milk/soya milk etc in cereal or cooking from 6 months but formula has to be their main drink until 1 year. I wouldn't give formula much after that as it's probably got the wrong balance of nutrients/vitamins for a toddler but as others have said you could use the toddler milk that some companies make. Cows/goat/soya milk etc is so much cheaper than formula (although has much less iron than toddler milk would if you would be worried about iron intake) so I'd go with that once baba is old enough and like the OP said their milk intake will drop as they get older X

Avas on toddler milk 1 year +

SMA Toddler Milk is SMA’s best nutritional support for active toddlers, from 1 year. It is a fortified milk drink with Omega 3 & 6 and increased levels of iron, it is specifically developed to help bridge any nutritional gaps and help ensure your toddler is getting the key nutrients they need. For children from 1 - 3 years. Use alongside cows’ milk and as part of a healthy balanced diet.

I only foruma feed morning and night, then she had about 3oz of cows milk in her porridge, yougurts and a afternoon sippy cup of cows milk so surly thats enough? x

You don't need to use formula at all after one year but can give toddler milk if you want to so yep, that sounds fine X

I dont FF Sophie at all anymore.

I used SMA gold until she was 12month and now she has (full fat) cows milk in the morning before her brekkie and then with her breakfast and then a bottle of cows milk before bedtime.
PLus she has cheese, yoghurts etc
