When did your LO's stop spitting up frequently? Mika still spits up frequently, especially if there is any type of pressure on his tummy. He has reflux, but is no longer on his meds because he doesn't seem to be in pain anymore, but I was just curious about when the spitting up would stop?

At around 7.5 mnths for Omar. But he still projectile vomit when he gags while eating or when he gags frm excess saliva when he's teething or when he's sick. He still cant control it although he's good with lumps & finger food. So I only offer him very small meals, & once he starts to gag (a sign that he's full) I stop offering. But there is no more milk spits xx

ETA: we still add anti reflux formula to his follow on xx

Bryson didn't stop spitting up until he was 8 months old. he was never diagnosed with reflux, but I am pretty sure he had it. Even though he is on 3 meals a day and of course has less formula during the day occassionally about every 3 days I have seen him spit up a little milk.

Ronan still does it occasionally but far less than before. He's still on his meds because he's still doing those wet sicky reflux burps if i miss a dose. I'm hoping he can come off it in the next couple months now.

Thanks ladies! Hopefully we only have a month or so left, but I was really hoping the spitting up would have stopped by now! He even spits up his solids.... :(

I hope it clears up soon, the poor little mite. Thankfully Ronan hasn't been spitting up any solids but he doesn't get purees which I guess might come up easier? How is Mika doing with finger foods?

By spitting up do you mean being sick?? Sorry, brit over here :haha:
If so yes noah is sick a LOT, probably 2 or 3 times after every feed, including solids
Maybe he has reflux... I'd not really considered it until reading this lol x

He'll grow out of it soon once he's on proper solids that r not runny hun. After 6+ mnths it starts to get better. Treatment is usually given to younger babies as their system cant deal with it properly. If ur LO is fine with it, no need to worry. Some babies r happy spitters & they r not bothered by it. WHen it involves projectile vomitting after every feed & the baby looks in pain, medication & special formula is usually given xx

Omar also used to spit up solids at this age. Once ur LO is taking less runny food & on proper food he'll grow out of it. We started offering Omar what we'r having at 6.5 mnths & I tried to offer him food that is not runny like pieces of veggies, meat & pasta & it really helped in controlling the spitting. xx

Abigail's more or less stopped around the same time she learnt to sit up unaided, which (thankfully) was nice and early at 4.5months. Now she is only occasionally sick if she speed eats an entire boob.

Karissa stopped spitting up (she never spitted up often either) at 4 months old :)

Hmm, maybe I should try some thicker foods. He's not terribly fond of finger foods, but he does like to suck his purees off his hand, lol. I don't know what his problem is with solid finger foods though.
