I'm planning on trying for another baby asap, but if we can't have one as soon as we should like, then I will be doing an access course in 2009, in which case Anna will be 15 months old when she starts nursery and I start the first part of my course :D

If this is the case, I will be trying for a baby half way through my access course and after LO #2 is born, I will staying at home with him/her for at least 7 months... Will be applying for next accademic year to do a midwifery degree after that and both my babies can go to nursery while I go to uni in the day :D

For the first 3-6 months I want to be a full time mum 100% But after then Im thinking of workin a couple of days a week to get a bit of extra income, But I really don't want to put my baby into nursery untill he/she is atleast 2 and half years old

Tasha- Ooh thats nice, sending lots of babi dust your way hun, how long does a midwifery degree last for 3 years?

Long Road Ahead- Yeah thats the same as me as my bf works, and i really want to study or work p/t so i can help him out. The nursery that i would be sending to, myfriends mum is the manager orf the nursery and i wouldn't have to pay the fees so that would be great for me but i wouldnt want them there full time only like a morning from like 9 to 11.30 am or something but with my baby thats due in March i wouldn't send him to nursery my mum would probs help to look after him.

I finished my first year of university in June,at 6 months pregnant.
I now started my second year in September, however I'm doing it from home so I can be called a stay at home mom now :D

September 09,I'll start my third year (with attending classes) and by then my daughter will be a year old (wow, funny to think of it ) and she'll attend nursery.

Yeah three years, but I need to do a one-year access course, first. We're definately going to have babi #2 before I do my degree, it's just depending on when we can start TTC (I'm waiting for an operation I need first) whether we have baby #2 before or after the access course.

I am hoping to specialise into neonatal nursing from there so... a long road ahead of me before I become what I want to be (as in, reaching my ambition and being that until I retire sort of thing...) but I will enjoy the journey all the way, rather than just focusing on the destination - if that makes sense?

:D

Anglia Ruskin University (in Chelmsford)... or might be Wales, as we are thinking of moving there once I pass my driving test :D

Oooh best of luck for that :D I'm currently looking at uni's xxx

Im currently at college in my last yr of health nd social national diploma... my baby is due 2 months b4 i finish my course so if i dont manage to hand in all the work wen baby comes then i will probably have to go back wen the baby is a couple of weeks to finish that... then also applyin to go to uni in sept to study psychology... so baby will be 4/5 months wen i go to uni nd will be at nursery wen im in lectures. fingers crossed everythin goes to plan.

I will proberly start college next september when baby will be 5 months, but i will proberly just join a night course cause i wouldnt want to be away from them for long!

I am 18,almost 19.. I had family issiues when i was 17 and moved in with my boyfriend 3 hours away from my family. At that time I did drop out of school and started to work full time. Im still living on my own with my boyfriend, and now we are having a baby. I still work fulltime, and i plan to until i go on materitny leave. While im on leave and looking after my new baby , i will then start to do online courses to finish my last credits i need for highschool.. After that i will probably go back to working full-time, or part-time depending on if i plan to take any college.

Im doing a childcare course at the moment. Im on maternity leave now but im still working as i have my course book at home and i know what im doing. When my baby is about 3 months old i will go back to college. I think its gunna be hard but hey it will be worth it in the end :D

Cool your thinking of doing midwifery. I am applying for this year - just finishing my access course now and waiting to hear if I will get an interview. Its really scary as its so competitive. One thing though you said about your little ones going to nursery while you go to uni in the day. Did you know that when you do a midwifery degree its like a job you have to work 40 hours a week and do shifts with your mentor which means doing nights and weekends. As long as you have a supportive OH or a really flexible childminder it can be done but it isnt easy. Hope you can go for it - its been a long time coming for me to be in this position - been waiting for my little girl to start school to make things easier and save loads of cash as I'll be skint!

I plan on taking one year away from work and focusing on caring for baby, but since my boyfriend works days, hopefully I'll be able to start doing some school work on the internet or in night/weekend classes so that I can get a job and get out of my parents' house lol. I think I'm going to take pharmacy tech or medical office assistant.. but I may just stick with accounting, since I'm already in it, and aside from being very boring it's quite easy :)
