I know that some of you all have been ttc for a long time...

How long do you consider to be LT TTC?

Is it a year? Longer than that?

I just finished cycle 7, and I know that doesn't sound long, but it FEELS like an eternity.

We don't have any diagnosed issues *yet*, but can't help but feel like something's wrong. My OB/GYN won't run any tests/try anything new for a few months still... and we're looking in to what it would take to get a SA for my husband, preferably without it costing an arm and a leg.

I don't know if I belong over here, but I can't stand to be over in the regular TTC section any more. Almost everyone I knew over there is pregnant (yay for them!, but it's getting harder and harder to wander in), or becomes pregnant within a month or 2.

I feel like I'm breaking. And every time AF shows her ugly head, I have to break my husband too.

Docs tend to say after 1 year of ttc with regular unprotected sex.

hello :) I say go where you feel most comfortable and if you feel better over this side then i don't think anyone will stop you. I have been ttc for 2 years now but i know I was just as upset by not being pregnant yet when it had "only" been 7 months. Difference is now people(doctors in particular) actually take my not being pregnant yet seriously instead of just brushing it off as being impatient. It was pretty early on in TTC that I seriously knew something just wasn't right.

Doctors start running tests after you have been trying for a year so this is usually when they start to say LTTC but I would say it's when you feel the time is right to say you are LTTC.

Some doctors wont do anything until two years. Just depends. x

^ agree depends on your area - mine is a year and others it can be 2 years, but end of day up to you, I had a gut feeling something was wrong turns out I was right as I have PCOS.

35 and over actively TTC for 6 months.
The rest, over a year actively TTC.
If you already know you're dealing with infertility then I would say that's LTTC too.

7 months, you're still in the average TTC year. You've got 5 more months to go.

One woman on here has been LTTC for 16yrs, now that's an ETERNITY.

I did not class myself as ltttc until last cycle. We have been trying for coming up 17months but i have had two.miscarriages on that time so had to beg my gp to even do bloods. I thin i am now officially here.

i didnt pop over here until well after 12 months. i felt like an intruder before that lol

I hit the LTTTC mindframe when I got super upset one day realizing that it has almost been 2 yrs in the TTC side of things. When I went to my FD she told me that usually they don't refer people to obgyn's for fertility issues until they have been TTC for 2 years, but since I am younger (22) with super irregular cycles - and she knows my family history, she decided to refer me after a year.

Like some of the other ladies said, I think - within reason - when you feel you have hit the LTTTC is when you should be here.
