I was just curious...... how long do you ladies think is considered LTTTC?

TIA :)

I think anything over a year would be considered LTTTC  not sure though. Just a guess as that is when Dr's suggest getting medical testing.

Best of Luck!

I think anything over a year or when there is medical intervention. I came over here when I was diagnosed with PCOS and started on metformin, as I found the main TTC boards rather hard to digest! x

Over a year. It's nearly 2 years now for us :( On a positive note thought I've started injections today :)

I just wasnt sure where I felt like I belonged. I have been TTC for just about year (will be after this cycle) and I have PCOS, but trying to go at this drug free for now.

Dragon - I totally understand what you mean. I just dont feel like I fit over at the TTC boards all the time

hi girls,i have been trying since may 2007 so im a dab hand at this stage!

I just find that when you are struggling and have issues, reading posts by people panicking after only a couple of months can be a bit depressing. Plus I actually find it a lot more supportive and sociable in here. I "moved in" after 9 months but I was under FS care by that point x

I'm starting to feel this way too, not quite sure where I belong!

I've had a tubal reversal, got one blocked tube and on Clomid, but only been trying for 8 cycles

A year or anyone with know problems :flower:

I feel a bit weird coming back to LTTTC, as we were TTC for 16 months, got pregnant but then miscarried
If the FS allows me to go back, I'm sure the ladies in here will too O:)

xx

I joined these boards after 9 months as I was already charting my temps etc and could stomach the comments from people who had tried for 2 months and were now stressed that they were infertile!

GP wise, I think its 1 year and they will start doing the initial test for you. As for on here, as soon as you feel you dont belong in the TTC forum then we will welcome you with hugs and support xx

Love fluffy xx

I've never joined this section despite it now being 20 months TTC because at the moment i dont have any known fertility issues and feel this section fit more for assisted conception. TBH after my MC and ectopic i think i might have some issues tht havent been discovered yet. I dont feel v comfortable in general TTC as they are often v new and wanting knowledge on FF etc or (one which grated me) are moaning that they are now 4 months TTC and wondering whats wrong with them! I stick mainly to journals now and TTC after loss but pop in here from time to time.

We've only been trying for only 9 months, but after 4 months my GP suggested we get tested, as she didn't want us to waste time if things werent working as they should be. She was happy to refer us to a FS after 5 months, but GH's GP wasn't, as he seemed to think that an SA with numbers too low to count wasn't a problem - dumbar$e! Our first FS appointemnt was exactly 8 months after our first baby-making sex!

Sometimes I feel a bit of a cheat being here, but I don't think the regular TTC section has anyone going through IVF in it!

I think it's usually about a year, unless there are known problems. It's all about where you feel comfortable. :hugs:

I think this could be why felt kinda iffy coming here too.....
I think because right now I am going through any assisted conception, or even medications to help me conceive.

I've found myself wondering over to this side more and more. I still have a look in ttc too, but more of my questions have been here lately because they are often related to FS & clomid etc...
