Hello! I am currently 36w6d pregnant with my 4th child. You would think that this whole wait at the end would get easier. Instead I am just as stressed out, or more-so, about when this little girl is going to make her appearance. Probably because I have been experiencing prelabor symptoms for MONTHS! So, here is my question: Once you were 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced how long after that did it take for you to deliver? I know that it could still be weeks and I am trying to gear myself up for that, but would love to hear from others in similar situations if they ended up having to wait WEEKS or simply DAYS.

Thank you!

Some other info: My 1st was born at 42 weeks, 2nd at 41 weeks and 3rd at 39 weeks (induced).

Unfortunately it doesn't mean anything and it's still anyone's guess when your baby will show. It's not unusual for someone who's already had kids to walk around like that for weeks.
Hopefully, it's only another week or two before your LO shows.

2cm is considered a normal cervix for women who have given birth before as it never fully closes. But even for a first timer, being 2cm doesn't tell you anything unfortunately. Some women can be dilated even 4cm for weeks, and others can go from 0-baby in an hour.

Good luck.
