If you had bad SPD pain during your pregnancy, how long after birth did it take for you to be able to walk without pain again?

For me, about the third day I felt a LOT better. That being said.. I've been wearing the ShrinkX which I swear makes an amazing difference; I bought mine secondhand on Kijiji for $30 and its so worth it. Though I don't know if my SPD is typical.. it was a combination of that and sciatica and my LO was resting on a nerve on one side and had his head turned up toward my hip, so I'm not sure if that factored in as well.

But basically the last month of pregnancy, I could barely walk some days. I was really surprised how much better it's been. I still get pains, but my mobility is WAY better. Though there have been a few times I push it and forget to get off the bed properly and end up waddling again, lol.

As soon as i had recovered fron section i noticed spd was gone! I had the occasional sore hip if i lay on one side for too long in the first week or so but it has gone now. Such a relief!!!!

I'm not sure but about 3-4 days after having DS when the post labour pain wore off my SPD was gone, it might have been sooner than that though and that's just the first time I noticed :)

Obv im in the minority but mine didn't go away after birth. It took 3 sessions of physio afterwards to realign my pelvis again

Really depends on how many times you've had it and any underlying conditions. I'm hypermobile, meaning my joints are lax before adding in the relaxin, so SPD is a little worse for me anyway. Personally I've found it taking a little longer with each of my five successful pregnancies, and I can't say that I've fully recovered now with my youngest being nearly 3.

I'm pretty sure mines gone because it was in my front right section of my pelvis and leg but since having a spinal tap in my back the top of my bum lower back is almost a dead numb pain often so just take tablets but think thats more to do with surgery. xx

Mine went straight away, I didn't notice it at all after he was born.

Straight away after Lily, with Evie I was still in alot of pain for a week after the birth.
