How Long will it take =@

I know im so impatient! I came off the pill about a month ago and yesterday after experiencing loads of symptoms (sore boobs, cramping, nausea etc...) i decided to take a test, i got a BFN! Not happy at all, im 20 and live a healthy lifestyle and i know im definately aiming too high to get pregnant in the first month but its so dissapointing to see that 1 line on its own!
My real question is.. How long after coming off the pilll should my cycle return to normal? ive been on it for 3 years.

Any answers would b a huge help.

Hi, I was had the implant in my arm for 3 years.. it took me 2 - 3 months before my cycle started to falll back to "normal".

Okay thanks! Yeh ive heard its normally 2-3 months! so annoying when i just want it to happen now!

I know what you mean... I am 21 and onto my 4th month of TTC and it seems to dominate my life at the minute.. I just want that hehe!

hi

i had the coil in for about 6 months and its 5 month since it came out and still not back to normal. in fact ive only just had 3 periods since.
1st day after it came out
2nd 12 weeks later
3rd yesterday

it differs for everyone im afraid

Thanks for the advice. Im not going to get my hopes up really until i at least have a period. Til then i guess im just not back to normal x

I am the same...very impatient but from reading posts i now know there is no way to say when each idivuduals cycle will return.

Heres my story anyway....
Came of BCP on 12th August (been on it for 8 years, last 3 years on mini pill and had no periods)

Got a bleed on the 5th September (which would have been end of my pill pack) which was a withdrawal bleed ( i thought AF but it wasnt) a WB is much darker and is basically clearing out from the pill.

Then on 18th September i got my first proper AF (red blood sorry tmi) this works out to be roughly a month since stopping BCP.

I am hoping my next AF will be in 25-30 days (i dont know my cycle lengths) and ill start TTC after that.

ive been tryin to diagnose everything that feels 'different' as a symptom of somesort but your body will play mind games, so just wait it out... its been tough on me as im so impatient but it only been over a month.

Yes im so impatient and so is my partner!
Im hoping i should get a WB within the next few days, as that is when my pill pack would normally have ended.
Just gonna keep at it and hope for the best, i think like you said, the mind plays tricks and because ive made it offical that im TTC every little problem i immediately make it a symptom!

hiya your cycle should become more regualre about 3-6 months and yh im inpatient too i too are young and my other half is to impatient i think he cant wait for they day i tell him have yous decided how you willl tell your partners when you get a bfp xx

i was on the pill for bout 6 or 7 years and got my bfp after about 3 months off coming off it. goodluck

Me and my partner are extremely close and loving so whenever ive done a test b4 we both stand and wait for the result, so i cant wait for the day when we both see that BFP! More worried of how to tell parents, although im 20 they are still protective of me. =)

Not sure how i will tell OH yet....ill probably just be so excited he will guess right away. Id like to plan something special though

I was on the pill for 3 years too, I came off it february 2010, got regular periods right away but still TTC for 20 cycles

I was on the pill for 5 years, came off it on July 22nd. Had my 1st period August 22nd and then came on again on Monday so I'm back to a 28 day cycle after 2 months.
Hoping for my BFP next month!!

As for telling my OH, I've brought him a book on Pregnancy for Blokes, which is hidden atm, when I get my BFP I'm going to stick the test to the book and give him it!
