Baby has been quite sluggish for over a day now. He usually moves loads when I lie in bed but last night and this morning he's not moved at all unless I've poked him. He hasn't moved all morning now.

How long should I wait before I ring somebody? I've had quiet days before but for some reason I'm really worried about this today.

have you had more than 10kicks? If its unusual ring the hospital now and explain to them thats its unusual and your worried and they should offer to monitor the baby for you xxx

I wouldnt wait if its been over a day hun ring midwife just to put youre mind at rest :) xx

I had 10 kicks yesterday but he usually has a little mad spurt when I lie down at night and he didn't do that last night/this morning. I'm going to wait another hour and then I'll decide what to do.

call your labour ward and explain it to them. they can either put your mind at rest or invite you in. honestly, it isn't worth the worry because there's no way you'll settle until you've been reassured by someone. good luck, i'm sure all is well but why risk it? :hugs: xx

just go in hun... my midwife said that if i'm not gettin 20 movements a day i'm to go straight in... infact she wasn't best pleased with me when i hadnt gone in after a few quiet days xx

i wouldnt wait at all... as soon as id became aware something wasnt as it usually is i would call.

Im 39 weeks (today!) i had the same two days ago baby is normally really really active little thing and slowed right down, I went to my maternity day unit (i called first and they advised to come in) they put me on a monitor to monitor babies heart beat and she was fine, just sleeping, but they did say its best to come in if your worried.
I was advised to eat or drink something and that should kick start her into moving which it did. Shes back to normal now! Obviously was jsut being a lazy moo!

Hope things picked up movement wise, did you go to the hospital to get checked hun?

Im not being funny but you need to get and been seen now.

You have noticed a change in babes movements enough for you to make this thread.

ETA, just seen the time tag.. did you go and get seen?

V xxx
