Its coming up to one year since we started TTC. How long where you trying before you decided to change things / ask for help?

I started getting blood tests about 7-8 months after having my implant out as my cycles were/are irregular.

the first time was after 18 months.... and had them all redone again at the 11 year mark

14 cycles TTC for us so far.

I started a diet / healthy-eating and we each added TTC-specific vitamins three months ago, and we're planning on heading to the doctor to see if there's anything wrong in another three months or so.

I kind of don't want to admit defeat / don't want to acknowledge that there could be a problem with one of us, but it's getting about time we did something I think.

I went to the doc when we first started TTC and after a year went back and went through all the tests. It can be a long and very drawn out process, we're nearly 2 yrs TTC now  and only recently talked with doc about poss of IVF...

I already have a lo so we
Waited until we had been ttc for a year then I spoke to my GP to get an idea of how long I 'try' before I need to see someone . She said as I already have a lo wait 2 years first. We are 17 months in now. I have had blood tests which indicate I may have a hormoan imbalance but
Might not..... Helpful!!!

We were 10 months but felt something was not right so told the DR it was 12 months and now it's been 12 months and we've just finished all the testing waiting to see what the problem is! We're impatient and worried so we wanted to get things moving! I'd suggest seeing a FS as soon as possible, it takes a while with going through appts and then testing and then waiting for results!

Good luck, hope you get your baby in 2013 :)

We waited until just after the one year mark and have been having tests and procedures on and off ever since!

My advice? Get looked at as soon as you can as you never know how many tests, operations, procedures you will need.

Keep the faith and do everything you can.

When hubby and I first started trying June 2011 I went to an ob for a consultation on what options were and what I needed to do and take...etc...then after about 1 yr of trying (11months or so) I went to a different ob for help since the one I went to didn't help me..and I'm glad I did..he did more testing tried me on clomid and then when that didn't work I was referred to a specialist....and since then ive ovulated! :) we are going to try IUI this cycle. :)

We tried off and on for four and a half years before getting help (I can be pretty stubborn). After everything mentioned in my signature was exhausted, we are currently on a break. Once we make the decision to try again, we are going to start completely over with the testing and all with a new doctor.

We've been ttc 9 months and had first round of blood tests. We're both 38

DH and I have been ttc since August '11, we were married Oct '10 and are 29. I did a fantastic job of not getting pregnant when I wasn't ready thanks to Depo and then Implanon (I hate Implanon!!!). Since off the bc have been very regular, shorter cycle 26 days and longest 31 (was testing every day that time, only got bfn).

I have been taking prenatals for over 100 days, and folic acid by itself before that. I have given up caffeine and diet drinks. Next I am going to give up drinking for a few months to see if that helps. I know I probably should go to a doctor, just trying to make adjustments that a doctor will tell me to before I go in to see if that helps. Will also quit soda to help lose a few pounds, another possible factor.

Also…am in Abu Dhabi and while doctors typically aren't very expensive over here, their English skills usually leave something to be desired.
