I stopped access at my house last christmas because of the constant bullying and emotional abuse & the fact he didn't even bother with his daughter, he just came round to bully me... My daughter was only 5 months then and obviously his far to unstable to have unsupervised access as his never lived with her or spent hardly any time with her(his fault) so I told him he wasn't welcome in my house anymore and to sort a contact centre. He quit his job to get out of paying maintenance and to get legal aid, It took til the april to get a solicitor letter from him(very caring dad that waited 4 months!!) & I got a solicitor immediately, and have always replied straight away to any letters I get... He on the other hand has taken 5-7weeks each time to reply to my letters(very caring dad again aye) full of bullshit & keeps threatening court but his refusing to cooperate with me.. I want to know his address etc as I wasn't even with him a year by time I left him(7months pregnant) & from what I did see, he has many mental health issues.. & noone knows anything about him and a contact centre still isn't 100% safe as the lady told me he can walk out with her and all they can do is call the police. So I'm refusing to go until I have this info as my daughters welfare and safety is paramount... Yet his still being difficult and refusing to give any info so we're still not at a contact centre and looks like it will be going to court.
Don't be put off though... This is a dickhead that hasn't lived with his daughter and its his own fault for taking so long to reply to solicitor letters. Make sure u reply immediately to any correspondence and badger your solicitor to chase it up. Apply for a court application as soon as u can because from your other thread I don't think shes gonna cooperate. The judge will be on your side as she has no excuses/reasons as to why shes stopped access & shes refused to cooperate... Have u lived with ur daughter? & u was having unsupervised access til she stopped it when she got her new fella? I thought there was something that could get u access to ur children in the mean time... I suggest going to see another solicitor to get a second opinion as your 1 doesn't sound very good in terms of not letting u apply for a court order yet.
