My lo has been demand fed because we were combi feeding but now that he is about to turn 6 mo and basically on 100% formula I would like to get him on more of a schedule. Some days now be has 9 bottles and it is exhausting.

How many and what volume do you give your 6 mo?

We are trying to go with baby led weaning and he's not too interested so solids don't really make up any of his diet yet.

My baby is just 5 months but thort I'd answear anyway :)

He has four 7oz bottles a day. They are generally:

9/10 am
1/2pm
4/5pm
7.30/8

We have just started him on solids he also has porridge about an hour after his first bottle and then a veg purée and sometimes a yogurt at about 3.30/4pm. We've only just started this really so it hasn't effected how much milk he takes.

How much are you offering your LO? 9times a day sounds alot to me, maybe hes not getting enough at each feed?

My lo is 6 months 2 weeks and has just decided he only wants 4 bottles a day but he has been weaning for a month now and has 2 meals a day so far but im going to introduce dinner now hes gone off his milk a bit i think hes bored of milk now and wants more food! :)

Our little girl was on 4 bottles since about 2-3 months but now she is 6.5 months I have moved her on to 3 bottles. I make up 9oz bottles but the middle bottle is always a problem and sometimes she will only take 3oz but a lot better with morning and evening bottles. He said that as long as she is drinking about a pint of milk it's ok.

4-5 bottles a day, depends if he wakes early in the night for a feed but normally he makes it til the next morning. He drinks anywhere from 200-250ml. Not sure what that is in oz sorry..
