How many doctors do you or will you see through your pregnancy? I'm not pregnant yet (hope I get a positive on the 13th.) but I had 2 high risk pregnancies in the past. I see my regular high risk OB/GYN and my MFM doctor. Does anyone else here see a MFM (maternal fetal medicine) doctor? If so what are/were/will be the reason(s)?

In my 2 pregnanies I have had the following...

severe IUGR (both times)
premature delivery (both times)
GD (2nd time)
PE (1st time)
stillbirth (2nd time)
placenta increta (2nd time)
placenta previa (2nd time)
2 vessel cord (1st time)
reverse end diastolic flow (1st time)
NTD's (1st time)
heart defect (1st time)
oligohydramnios (both times)

AND, I have a bicournate uterus with a septum.

that's why *I'm* high risk. Why you?

I am considered low risk, but due to a raised BMI, I have had to see an onstetric consultant at 17 weeks and will see him again at 36 week to check the baby's presentation. Unless there are any problems then I won't see him in between.

I see my midwife at 10 weeks for booking, 16 weeks, 24 weeks, 28 weeks for a GD test, 32 weeks, 34 weeks, 36 weeks, 38 weeks and 40 weeks... that's normal for everyone here (except the 28 week GD test).

I have been seeing my GP (family dr) every two weeks as I am signed off work and he wants to keep on top of that, but I wouldn't have to see him if not for this.
