How many sections have you had?

I had two electives, first one for breech presentation, second just plain elective.

Hiya baby5hopeful, how are you feeling? hope you are ok. Will you be having your section in the second week of august? I feel so nervous as time is getting closer. From tomorrow I have 6 weeks left. Still not sure if I should get sterilised, keep changing my mind, very very confused.

Hi I have my scan on the 6th so will find out on the 10th at my consultants appointment, I feel nervous too, be glad to get it done with now, as keep waking in the night thinking about it all xxx

Good luck darling, hope it all goes well for you :hugs:

I have had 4 c-sections. The first was an emergency and i was put under due to a massive hemorrhage. The second was classed as an emergency, because it wasn't planned, but basically our baby had died and i had a complete placenta previa, so the way out was blocked. They knocked me out for that one too due to the circumstances. The third and forth were planned and i had a spinal. After the last one they looked inside and said i would be okay to have another if we wanted. :)

while it is all empowering to say if a woman wants vbac she can no matter what doctor says, but if they decidw this without indepth research into their own personal risks it would be a rather foolish decision. If a T incision has been made in the uterus there is no way they should even attempt vbac as the risk of rupture is exponentially higher with this incision rather than the normal horizontal incision. The uterus can thin after several csects thus increasing risk. Scar tissue can impead vbac. another reason why they may say no if you have had mpre than one csect is because the hospital and doctors are not equipped to handle the high risks associated with vb after several csect. i know this as my ob told me this was main reason i couldnt have vba2c which doesnt worry me as i prefer to have a doctor in control of birth confident of what they are doing. i am in no way saying dont try for vbac, i tried with my second but didnt work out, but do the research. ask lots of questions to find out why they are suggesting csect, if u arent happy with their answers maybe get a second opinion. wish u all the best for wharever u decide
