How many weeks and days were you when they gave you your planned c section? Just wondering if it varies much.

they aske me at my 16 wk appt but i told them i wasnt sure what i wanted and then at my 36 wk appt it was advised that i had the section and was given my date and time!! i will be 39+4 when i have my section!! x

your c-section is usually scheduled a week before your due date x

With my first DD I was 39.2 weeks and with my second I was 37.5 weeks............ x

Mine was scheduled for 39 w 2d but moved up to 38w2d due to preeclampsia.

I was given a week - I was told exactly at 38 weeks and had it exactly at 39. I had to have it as they suspected I would have a big baby.

It was discussed for a few weeks prior to that though, but not actually scheduled until 38 weeks.

I've been wondering the same thing actually. I'm just waiting to hear from my OB as to when my OR time is booked for.

Its my 4th c-section. I was supposed to have a planned c-section last time at 39 weeks but I went into labour at 38+5. So this time they planned it earlier in order to avoid me going into labour
