how much bleeding to expect?

They give you pitocin to contract your uterus help get the blood out and it shrink back down. I believe its something the hospital I deliver at gives but I'm going to ask at my next appointment!

I have barely bled at all. In the hospital, they made me wear the "super pads" but I didn't really have much coming out. I do have some blood clots though but they said as long as they weren't golf ball sized and that they were "dark colored", it was ok. They only appear in the toilet when I go.

I've been using Always Ultra Thin pads since I got home from the hospital and I never soak a pad. I just see small spots of blood here and there. I notice that if I'm active or if I bend over and then come up, I feel some blood come out...but its usually very little.

However, I think everyone's experiences are different.

I also was given Pitocin while I was being put back together on the table. I believe they gave me 40 units of it or something.
