How much did your 4 month old weigh? What exactly does percentile mean anyway?

I had the opposite problem. We have a major fatso who was 22lb at 4 months  She was off the charts for length, weight, and head circumference. Her BMI was high but dr was not worried. We took her in yesterday at 16 months and she has gained 2 inches and NO weight since her 12 month appt!!! She is still 100th percentile for height and weight, but is finally starting to even out! Your LO sounds sounds fine and I bet her height and weight will come closer together as she nears a year. It seems that babies always tend to even out at some point!

LO was 16lbs 2oz at his 3 month jabs, he has his 4 month jabs soon so will see then!

He was 91st for weight and height (64cm) I think all babies are just different.

I make skinny babies too, but not nearly as tall. Gabriel was 10lb 2oz at 19 weeks.
I expect Samuel will be about 12 lbs at 4 months.

Just a quick point, I don't know where in the world you are nor how you feed lo, but the old charts were based on ff babies and were no good for bf (underestimated). In the UK the WHO charts are used which are better.

I am in New York, she was "scored" on the US chart...but I don't know if it is the old formula one from the 50's. I thought I heard there was a new version? Not sure. I know she scores better on the WHO chart, and the preemie charts. She is breastfed but has been supplemented with about 2 oz formula/day and more recently every other day, for a couple months now.

At 4m she weighed 14lbs, at 6,16.
Our babies start big, but pretty much stop growing at 1! Lol! At 3,my son was only 28lbs!

I always get, aww, how old? 17 wks. Cue raised eyebrows, oooh, he's big isn't he?!?!?!

Ha ha, me too! He was 12lb 12oz at 8 weeks! I am 5'2", 120lb and DH is average build so no idea how we made him. He is 91st percentile.

How long is she? If she were 98th percentile for length on the WHO charts, then she's longer than my 6 month old, wowee! Though Sophie is very short. 97th percentile for 17 weeks is 66cm/26". I don't have a 98th on the chart I am looking at.

Your daughters weight puts her a few grams under the 3rd percentile for actual age.

At 4 months old...
28.5" greater than the 97th percentile
17 lbs 78th percentile

He has been long & lean until 7 months old & now he's 'filled out'

Holly weighed 15 lbs 5 oz. They can move up and down percentiles though. Holly was once around the 90th percentile and now is around the 9th!

24 in. I know our Ped was not using the WHO chart...she used US and Preemie. She printed it for me, I should go look (somewhere in the diaper bag) maybe the 98 was on the preemie length? Seems too high for the "normal" baby chart.
