My LO was 10lbs 6oz at 8w. He was 7lbs 15oz at birth but lost 1lb 3oz in the week following. Took him a month go get back to his birth weight. At his 4mo check up he was 13lbs 8oz. Long (26in) and skinny and BF.
My LO was 7lb 15oz at birth, dropped to 7lb 1oz and at 8 weeks weighed 11lb. She's EBF and quite long. I call her my chunky monkey but in reality she's just filled out and is still in proportion.
My little guy was 8lbs 8oz at birth and yesterday at exactly 8 wks he weighed 12lbs 12oz and is EBF... the nutritionist at the WIC office (a nutrition program for Women Infants and Children here in the states) said his weight gain was consistant with BFing so not sure why the HVs and GPs in the UK seem to think they shouldn't be gaining a lot of weight because they aren't getting formula...
Around 12lbs I reckon - he's 8 weeks now. Was 8lb 1.5oz at birth.
My first LO was similar and is a slender toddler so I'm not worried ))) its only his double chins that make him look chubby tbh haha - you're doing a fab job ))
12 pounds 2 oz. she looks like a perfectly healthy lo to me! My baby is also breast fed and every baby is different.. But it's not uncommon for a bf baby to be heavier! At 4 months my lo was 15 pounds 8 oz.
Your LO sounds fine. I was exclusively BF still at that point and my son was at the very bottom of the weight charts. He was born 5 lb 13 oz and at 8 weeks was only 7 lbs. He never had a crease or fat roll as a baby either.
You lo looks just perfect to me, my lo was born 6lb 11oz and at 8 weeks she was 10lb 3oz she was ebf until 3 weeks then formula fed onwards now she's 23 weeks old and is 14lb 4oz and that's with 2 meals aday xx
I'm begining to think my 15lbs 10week old is overweight, he was 6lbs 14oz at birth but he's tall tho well over 24inches at 10weeks so the weight is divided
At 8 weeks my LO was 12lb 2oz. She is FF and weighed 9lb 2oz at birth so put on 3lb in 8 weeks. She is also on 75th centile. IMO your LO looks like a really healthy baby, screw what the HV say, chunky babies are better!
