How much do you go out, as a family?

We dont have big days out every weekend but we spend most, if not all of it together.

Its usually saturday is having breakfast together, popping into town and to the shops for a wander, drop into the park maybe, pick up some snack for the evening of TV and then we all go to my mums for dinner.

Sunday is a home all day day, i make a nice meal, DH potters around in the garden and Aymens likes to be his helper...or alternatively we'll have friends round for late lunch or we go over to friends as a family.

Either way, weekend is family time because the week is so hectic.

There's no rule, you just have to decide what is important to you and stick with that. For me it is very important that LO gets out of the house every day because we live in a cramped apartment in the city and I want him to have the opportunity to be outdoors in the park every single day.

At least once a weekend we go out as a family, it doesn't have to be expensive just as long as we are out together. Could be the park, a hike, a walk, to the mall, some shopping or whatever.

We do things together on a weekend (OH works Mon-Fri) but its not always going exciting places.

Last weekend we needed to do some DIY stuff so we were at B&Q at 8.30am then stopped off at the local shopping centre where LO walked round for ages....it's still a novelty for him to walk everywhere....he loved it out with mummy & daddy, even if it was shopping.
Then on the Sunday the 3 of us went out for Sunday lunch. Again nothing exciting but something we did together.

Sometimes we go visit my sister in law & will make a day of it, sometimes we just stay home & have a lazy weekend - well, me and OH take turns in having a sleep in, watch something spacific on TV whilst the other entertains LO - unless its F1, he likes to watch the cars!!!!
