Sorry if this is a bit personal but after all your bills hhow much do you have left out your wage per month/week? and is it enough?

Me and OH are moving out of army accomodation, where we pay £69 rent a month to paying £650.. eek. We'll have £50 a week each leftover.

I'd like to know this too... I'm moving out in 4 weeks and I take home around £950 a month, my OH takes home around £1000... We're worried about finances as we've never done this before!

Is that £100 for 'everything' else other than rent? If so I think you need to look for something cheaper!

Incomings.
1051 OH wage
500 Mat pay
80 child benefit
84 tax credits

total = 1715

Outgoings
650 rent
150 council tax
75 gas/elec/water
12 tv license
50 sky tv/internet/talk
50 mobile
50 oh travel to work

total = 1037
so after all that we have 678 left over for food and anything else.

lol which seems loads but i dunno where it goes

when im on MA after all our bills and debt repayments are paid, and if we are really careful and dont spend more than £300 on food, petrol and Misc things that pop up we will have £61 spare income a month!!

This is why I never want to leave military accommodation! Our rent is £400 though.

We have about £800 left over each month after bills, food, petrol, etc.

I think you will be fine having £50 each every week

Sorry didnt make that clear, we'll have £50 after everything, I've deducted food, petrol and all our misc expenditure, thats just for extras that could crop up, or an evening together.
It's so daunting to leave military accomodation but OH wants out so we want to get set up somewhere before he does.

£2k income
£1940 outgoing (not including debt repayments)

£60 a month and my loan repayment is £68.50, min credit card payment is £50 I think? So basically nothing. Less than nothing actually :)

Im starting to do some parties/catalogue selling so hopefully that& my hours possibly being cut down at work will help us pull through.

we have about 300 just over left each month after bills, food, ect . would be round about 700-800 if hubby didnt have a bloody iva lol xx

£50 each a week should be ok. As youi can save it back if you have something coming out. I also cut down on my food for a week or 2 in a month if i have something coming up. Like eatting beans on toast for a few nights on occasion just to bump my money up.

My OH 1000 -1400 depending on over time
Mat leave - roughly 700
savings for baby - 1500

rent - 300
loan - 160
car - 177
insurance - 100
phone - 70

left over about 1000 to do what we please

fingers crossed saving for a wedding?? lol

You should be fine on £50 hun, we only have that left over per month give or take :)

We are paying mortgage, decent car, a 10k loan out of our wages so it is draining but do-able

OH take-home is about 1560 before overtime/bonuses (both of which are quite regular so we say about 75 a month overall for those and add them onto his normal takehome). So OH's average take-home is 1635 a month.

My maternity pay will be about 450 a month average.

My casual hours at the council (which I won't be being paid for until matty leave ends, for obvious reasons) - £60ish a month.

Tax credits (we only get the bare minimum) and child benefit, worked out as a monthly average for her first year of her life (when tax credits are cut in half!), from when she is born in April - £178 a month.

So a total now of about 2145 a month and a total after she is born of about 2325 a month. When I am back at work after she's one it will then be 2850 if I return to current job on same hours.

Outgoings:
Mortgage with life insurance cover - 573 pcm
Council Tax - 104pcm
Phone line/landline calls/internet broadband/gas/electric - average of about 85 a month in total
Mobiles (we use these to call mobiles free) - 10 each per month (so £20 pcm)
TV licence - 11ish
Car 1 - 250 a month includes diesel, maintenance and all other associated bills
Car 2 - 200 a month includes everything as well as diesel
Food and household cleaning and toiletries - 250 pcm (will increase with baby)
Cats (vets/food) - 25 pcm approx
House insurance - 28ish pcm

So for all the essentials about 1770 a month. That is a difference of 375 a month between out lowest incoming and our essential outgoings. When baby is here it is a difference of 555 a month and when I am back at work it is a difference of 1080 a month. The extra money we have gets spent on our 2 horses and any little luxuries if we can afford them (clothes, going out etc) and we try to save 100 a month. Depressing! We do have considerable savings though thankfully.

Less than nothing for us too :( It's just been me working for a while, so we've been living off about £850 a month. Luckily my OH has a few months work, but we'll be struggling again once this job ends.

Here goes...

Incomings:
Wages - 1870 (my income: 950, OH income 920)

Outgoings:
Mortgage (inc insurances) - 450
Council tax - 100
Gas & elec - 90
Water - 15
TV - 12
Phone - 14
car finance - 113
car ins - 60

My mobile - 35
breakdown - 20
TV finance - 45
Contact lenses - 23
Petrol to get to work - 140

OH mobile - 35
OH mobile ins - 10
OH catalogue - 30
OH credit card - 40

Food - 200

Total out - 1457

We're putting away 120 a month towards paying off the finance for our settee in April...so that leaves us with 293. Not entirely sure where that goes, as we never go out. We put petrol in to visit family and friends at the weekend, so I guess that adds up...and we have 3 dogs to feed.

Blimey, looking at that we're really going to struggle when I'm on maternity pay -- afaik it's no more than smp, which'll take us into the negatives. Eeeek.

We have - after food etc - about £200 a month left over for ods and sods.

My wages are £1027

OH gets £170- £250 a week

My wage covers all our bills and petrol and stuff so were left with OH wage to play with :D

Looking at it that way seems good but im still freaking out about going onto just SMP :(

xx

I have about £580 a month for food, travel and everything else but at the moment I'm trying to pay off my overdraft so all my spare money goes on that :(

Oh and thats just my money, OH has a bit less cos he has the car, credit card and loan to repay. He prob has about £300.

We have about £250-£300 between us, not sure how that breaks down between us as we work it all jointly. That is after all food and extraneous bits, debt repayments, savings etc. We're both training at the moment so our salaries are much lower than normal (his is non-existant...bursary only!) so we should be ok when we go back to normal, and hopefully still when my salary drops and then disappears on ML and then staying at home with LO!
