i sit with the kids and we write a list then whats left i pass to family to get if they wish too.

we spend £250 on each child at xmas

but this is saved up throughout the year and i only buy stuff when on offer lol

for my ohs side we spend £10 per person and only buy for the kids his dad and stepmum grandparents and his brothers/sister that don't have kids and they buy for the kids. my family we spend £20 per person as theres not many of us and only one nephew so we buy for them too :) just intrigued to what you spend xx

I have increased family budget this year from £10 each to £20 each, a little more for MIL and FIL.
Then £300 per child, although DS4 wont have that much as he is still so young and still have so much from the others. It seems to increase every year, with their tastes getting more expensive.
I save through the year, and then like to have a big spend up from Sept/Oct onwards.

About 250 each for the kids although LO will probablly be less this year and maybe next as she will only be one and her birthday is just before christmas.

For OH's family we spend 10 on his nieces and nephews and about 30 for his mum.
My parents we spend 30 ish also and on my neices/nephews 20, I also buy for my friends kids and usually spend 15-20.

We hardly see OH's neices and nephews and a couple haven't even met which is why we spend less. :)

I'm probably spending £300 on ds1 and around £150-200 on ds2.
family wise I spend around £40 each on my mum, sister and mil
£30 eah on dhs sisters there are 3 of them
£30 on my grandmother
£20-25 each on dh's grandmother and my step Dad and mils bf
then £30 on our niece
then we also buy for dh's uncle and aunt as they buy for us but just £5 each and Give their son £10.
dhs grandmothers partner also just about £5

Wish I didn't have to spend so much on family but they are all extremely generous back.

£100-£175 each for our children, aiming for closer to £100, £10 for everyone else. This year hopefully can treat df to £75-£100 of bits too as previous years we've agreed not to get each other gifts to save money x

We've spent £175 on each of our kiddos, including stockings. We then spent £25 on each of our parents/grandparents/siblings and £15 for my step parents and my sibling's partners. We have no nieces or nephews as of yet.

We spend 500 (Canadian) a child

For our parents it's usually 100 each

For siblings the younger ones 50 and the older ones 75

For DH this year I spent 900ish

And for every one else about 20

We spend around £50 on LO, which seems really little compared to you guys! He is only 3, so no expensive tech or anything yet, and our parenting style is fairly simple and minimalist on toys (though I got them all out this afternoon for a re-organise and they completely covered the living-room floor, so maybe he has too many!).

I spend £50 on DH and he the same on me.

For our parents maybe £20 each, depending on what I find and which parent we're talking about (we have 4 sets as both our parents are divorced and we are much more involved with some than others), ditto siblings. Nieces, maybe £10-£15.

We partly spend fairly little as we're saving hard atm for a house move, and partly as a deliberate choice. Not sure we'd spend much more even if money were no object. Certainly wouldn't buy many more toys, though might spend more on better quality versions, IYSWIM.

Dh and I used to spend hundreds on each other.
We probably spend 100-150 on each other, I think we spent 80 on ds.
For siblings and parents we probably spend anything from 15-50 depending on the year and what they want. It used to be more.
Grandparents 15-25 I guess.
We tend to even things out by if we got them an expensive birthday gift they get less for Christmas and vice versa.
Xx

I really don't know this year! I dread to think what DS ended up with last year, his budget was £500 and it was definitely over that. We stuck to DD's budget of £300. I love to spoil them, but last year was too much, the amount of presents looked really crass and took away from the rest of the day.

I'd love to be able to stick to £150 each but don't think I could, I've spent that on DD already. I don't buy filler presents, it's all things I know they'll absolutely love, that's my problem! So this year I think £300 for DD, and hopefully £300 for DS too!

DH and I don't buy each other presents so we have more to spend on the kids, same with my siblings, We spend £20 on DH's mum and £20 on his sister and BIL, £20 each on my parents, £20 on my Gran, £15 each on the 3 nephews on my side, and about £60 on a flower arrangement for our nephew on DH's side's grave.

I tend to start early so manage to spread the cost. Usually we spend £500 per child but this year we have lowered it to £300, parents and in laws is £50, sister in law £30, my nieces and nephews get £10 each x

Eldest has a £300 budget but think I will go over as his main present is around £200. Youngest is £200. The original budget was £500 & £300 but have cut it down. For oh around £100. Mum, nan and bro £40. Mums oh £20. Nephew £30. God daughters £15 each.

Also have to buy teachers, pre school staff (goes to 2 pre schools), taxi driver and escort and physio's. Equals about 12 people so usually just buy some chocs so around £24-£30

£100 Per Child
£50 each My Parents
Around £200 each on Me & OH :)

I don't have a budget and that's where my whole problem lies lol x

I am the opposite. I spend about £100 on LO and a lot more on OH. OH wants things that are more expensive and he will appreciate them more. Plus I am not worried about spoiling him or him not understanding the value of things :haha:

We aim for about £200 each for LOs which usually ends up about £250 each. £30 each for parents. £20 each my brother and sister, and £5-10 each for nieces, nephews and friend's kids.

Kids will be about £100 each. OH is £40. Then my side (mom, brothers, nieces, nephew, sil, nans and grandads) is £30. Friends and friends kids are £20 each. OH spends about £20 on each family member xx

Don't really have a budget but trying to cut down on the amount of gifts we give to lo as he had way to many years before.

usually we spend around $600 on each kid, but this yr we are cutting it down to around $300, Hubby and i spend about $100 max on each other(we never usually want anything lol) and to be honest we have never really brought for family as we have never been close enough, but this yr we are going to put the effort in and send them something, so probably around $50-$100 on our parents and about $30 on the nieces/nephews!!

For DS and DD we don't really have a budget, I also buy for their birthdays as they are both within a few weeks of Christmas. Me and DH are cutting back this year on eachother as we want to buy a MacBook next year. Parents we spend £50 each and everyone else about £15-20 each (we have about 15 people to buy for). I also buy small gifts for school, preschool and ballet teachers from DD and DS
